The plum blossom coupling is a type of coupling widely used in the field of mechanical transmission. It is mainly used to achieve reliable connection between the motor and various transmission components, among which common transmission components include ball screws and optical shafts.
The plum blossom coupling has many advantages. From a structural point of view, it usually consists of two half-couplings with convex teeth and an elastic plum blossom-shaped element. This structure enables the coupling to effectively buffer and reduce vibration during the transmission of torque. Due to the presence of the elastic plum blossom-shaped element, the impact and vibration generated by the motor during starting, braking or operation will be absorbed by the element, thereby protecting the motor and transmission components and extending their service life.
